The leaf-nesting shrub frog is just one of the many frog species that are endangered. It lives in wet tropical regions. These cute frogs are only about 1\" / 2-3 cm long. Males use advertisement calls to attract females, and tend to call more intensively during darkness and when humidity is high. The female\'s eggs are adhesive and are deposited to the underside of a leaf – hence the name of the species. Unfortunately, like many other amphibians, the shrub frog is threatened by habitat loss and deforestation due to agriculture and urbanization.
