Hi Lynne, at the end of round 17, you leave 2 stitches unworked, which simply means that you move your stitch marker 2 spaces back before starting round 18. In round 18, you don't skip any stitches, but instead work on all stitches available in the round :). I hope this helps you out, enjoy crocheting!
