Hello!

First let me say all the Dryads are beautiful.  Second do you think you can share the obvious with me? Please? Do you crochet the skirt upside down? I can't get it right, I can't figure out what stitches to pull the brown loop through and I'm kinda getting frustrated. So if anybody can help me out I'd really appreciate it. Sueper

Hi Sueper,

You hold the doll you worked upside down, the neck area pointing down, bottom pointing up. In round 34 of the body (skin tone) you worked in the back loops only. The leftover front loops should be visible, as little loops through which you can insert your hook. You take your brown yarn, make a loop and hold it above such a loop. Then insert your hook in the loop and pull the loop of brown yarn through, you can now make a slip stitch or a sc stitch and get started on working the skirt.

This is a picture of another pattern, showing the same technique:

I hope this helps?
