Blitz’ favourite time of the year is Christmas, followed by any day in winter. He adores being outside on cold crisp mornings, and being able to watch the sunrise. During the winter months, Bltiz will wear his favourite hat and Christmas coloured scarf (which he proudly made himself), and wonder through the forests to sight native birds. You see, Blitz has been working hard to finish his thesis on native small birds. During Christmas, Blitz is often recognised by small children as a snowman, and they playfully like to stick carrots and twigs into his body. It mostly tickles although sometimes it can hurt a little- in which case he often blinks at them to scare them. After all, snowmen aren’t real……right?

To make your own snowman, you will need:
> Yarn of your choice in the colours: white, orange, brown, dark grey, light brown, green, red, gold, pink
> Hook size relevant to the yarn you use, I used a 2.5mm
> Safety eyes 6mm for small eyes or 8mm for larger
> Toy Stuffing
> Black embroidery thread
> Other tools: scissors, stitch marker, pins, embroidery/sewing needle

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, half double crochet, back loops only, front loops only, crochet into a ring, fastening off in the invisible way
Measurement: 17cm / 7 inches
