Ninocactus and Luciflor

$ 7.20

US English pattern by De Estraperlo. Includes step-by-step pictures.

Niñocactus is one of those cactuses that he is always being cold. There aren’t so many in the world but, sometimes, you come across with one of them.

He tries to be strong and stand it so other cactuses don’t take him as someone weird or different. And hold on, and on. Those long days at 40 degrees Celsius, and he just feels cold! Nights are even worse and, at times, he wants to start to cry. However, he doesn’t tell anyone because he doesn’t want to seem different.

Luciflor is his friend. She is a little cactus flower which is always talking and running. Niñocactus gets a bit nervous when she is around him, but he loves to have her as a companion.

Luciflor is always in a hurry. She spends limited time with us before disappearing until next year, so there isn’t time to lose. She is only interested in feeling good. She doesn’t understand Niñocactus’ concerns. She doesn’t know what’s like feeling different, either she has wasted time in her life thinking whatever other people believe about her. What is she’s totally certain about something: if you feel cold,you must bundle up.
Because of this, she has given Niñocactus a sweater; it’s made of small fibres, twigs, and items she have found in the desert.

Not only Niñocactus is warm and happy now, but other cactuses want a similar sweater for them.
But do you know what? If they’d wear a sweater, they will be too hot...

It’s better to embrace differences and enjoy them. We couldn’t nor mustn’t be all the same.
