Leon King

US English pattern by Handmade by Halime. Includes step-by-step pictures.

Leon King – Amigurumi lion.

The pattern is straight forward and easy to follow. There is lots of step by step images, especially on the special parts. Also how to attach the hair.

Included in the pattern is a crown with straps.

You will also get good instructions how to give the face a more depth and how to make the legs moveable with only yarn (if you don't want to use security joints).

Materials required:

– Yarn – I used a cotton and acrylic blend DK weight yarn; Scheepjes Soft fun. I used more than 1 skeins (50 g + just little more from second skein) on the mustard (main) color. For hair I used Pecan color, almost a whole skein. (For hair it works fine to use another type of yarn, for example a yarn with wool.) For muzzle, feet and nose I used leftover yarn (creme and black). If you using bigger hook, I would recommend to have at least 2 skeins or more of each color for the head/body and hair.)
For the crown I used a fine weight yarn: Yarn and Colors Favorite, in Gold color. If you use thicker yarn for the crown, you can just make less spikes.
– Crochet hook 2.5 mm
– Fibrefill / toy stuffing
– Security eyes, 10 mm
– Optional: 4 security joints
– Stitch markers, scissor and embroidery needle

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, double crochet
Measurement: 27 cm/ 10,5 inches tall (standing)
