Jules The Nautilus is one of the most unusual sea creatures, he zooms around the ocean peeking out from under his cap!

The instructions are written in US crochet terms, with step by step photos detailing how to make the pieces and finish the toy. The nautilus made in DK weight cotton yarn and 3.5mm hook will measure 16cm/6.2in tall. The sample is made in Paintbox Cotton DK.

You will need:

DK weight cotton in your preferred colours
50gr/125m of Main Colour
30gr/75m of Contrast Colour
10gr/25m of White for eyes
3.5mm hook
10mm Black Safety Eyes
Toy Stuffing
Tapestry Needle
Small piece of thick felt or fabric stabiliser
Stitch markers or safety pins
Dressmakers Pins
Scissors

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, half double crochet, double crochet, front loops only, invisibly decrease 3 stitches at once
Measurement: 16cm/6.2in tall
