Seymour is little sea turtle ready for big adventures! Watch him scuttle away along the sand straight into the ocean waves...

The instructions are written in US crochet terms, with step by step photos detailing how to make the pieces and finish the toy.

The finished sea turtle made in 4-ply cotton yarn and 3mm hook will measure 15cm/6 in long.


You will need:

A selection of 4-ply cotton or your favourite yarn in 3 colours.
The samples are made in Stoff & Stil Cotton 8/4 (100% Cotton, 50g/170m/185y), these are the yarn amounts used:
Yarn A - Light Aqua - approx. 25gr/85m
Yarn B - Antique Blue - approx. 15gr/51m
Yarn C - Peach - approx. 10gr/34m
3.0mm hook
30mm Clear (transparent) Safety Eyes
Toy Stuffing
Tapestry Needle
Weighted filler beads for shell, sewn into a small pouch (optional)
Scissors
Stitch Marker

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, half double crochet
Measurement: 15cm / 6in long
