+ The techniques you will need to know include chain, single crochet, standing single crochet, slip stitch, single crochet increase, invisible decrease, working in the back bar of the ch, half double crochet, double crochet, working in the front and back loop only, bobble stitch, the invisible finish, working on both sides of a foundation chain, joining a chain to form a loop, seamlessly joining pieces together, and the adjustable (magic) ring.

MATERIALS NEEDED (more specifics are noted within the pattern)
+ yarn in your choice of colors (about 271-284 yds/248-260 m of worsted/aran)
+ a size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook
+ stitch markers
+ tapestry needle
+ stuffing
+ pins
+ scissors
+ chopstick to help stuff

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
+ Using hook size E/4 (3.5 mm) and worsted yarn, the Angel Gnome measures approx. 13 inches (33 cm) in the sitting position.
+ Using hook size 1.50 mm and size 10 crochet thread, the Miniature Angel Gnome measures approx. 5.5 inches (14 cm) in the sitting position. (See the Materials section for more details.)
