MATERIALS NEEDED
yarn in your choice of colors (about 275 yds/251 m of worsted/aran, a size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook, stitch markers, tapestry needle, stuffing, pins, scissors, chopstick to help stuff, button (approx. 1/2 inch /12 mm - optional), Sewing thread and needle for buttons, Doll Needle (at minimum 3.25 inches/8.3 cm in length)

NOTE
The miniature Pumpkin Gnome in the images was made using the same pattern, a 1.50 mm hook, and size 10 crochet thread. It measures approximately 7.5 inches (19 cm) tall with the tip of the hat standing straight up.


Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, (invisible) decrease, back loops only, front loops only, triple crochet, bobble stitch, picot stitch, back ridge, fastening off in the invisible way
Measurement: Approximately 11 inches (28 cm) with a bent hat, 16 inches (40 cm) with a straight hat
