The Portuguese Minho doll represents the “Lavradeira” costume from Viana do Castelo in the Minho region in northern Portugal. This traditional outfit originated in the 19th century and was worn by rural women during special occasions and festivities.

The main part of this project is worked in rounds, so you might want to use a stitch marker to mark the end of each round.
