Do you know Aubrac? It's a high plateau in the most western part of the Lozère, in France. This region is well-known for its landscapes, its food and, of course, for its wonderful breed of cow.

Mirabelle is one of these Aubrac cows. With her nice horns, her long eyelashes, and her wonderful fringe, she's one of the prettiest cattle you've ever seen ♥

PATTERN

This pattern contains 28 pages, full of photographes (217), and round-by-round explications.

It is suitable for mid-level crocheters (or beginners, if you're not afraid to learn new stitches or techniques). To crochet Mirabelle, you need to know how to make a magic ring, a chain, a single crochet, a slip stitch, a half double crochet, a double crochet, an increase and a decrease.

MATERIAL

To make Mirabelle, you'll need :
- 100% cotton fingering weight thread (for 3 mm hook) in the following colours: brick red (≈35g), ecru (≈20g), dark gray (≈15g), beige (≈5g), white (≈5g), black (≈5g), blue (or any color of your choice) (≈5g)
- 100% cotton size 5 thread (for 1,75 mm hook), in yellow (≈5g)
- 100% acrylic sport weight yarn (for 4 mm hook) in brick red (≈5g)
- 1 length of black embroidery thread (≈50cm), 1 length of ecru embroidery thread (≈1m) and 1 length of black sewing thread (≈50 cm)
- a 1.75mm and a 3 mm hook
- Polyester fiberfill, more or less (≈) 50g
- 8 mm black safety eyes (x 2)
- yarn needle (wide eye and blunt point), darning needle (wide eye and sharp point), and sewing needle (small eye and sharp point)
- Card or metal brush (such as a pet brush)

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, half double crochet, double crochet, back loops only, front loops only, starting an oval piece with a foundation chain, french knot
