Hilda the Highland Cow

$ 5.00

US English pattern by Janine Holmes at Moji-Moji Design.

It can get very cold up in the Scottish Highlands but because of her magnificent thick coat of long ginger hair that’s never a problem for Hilda. She’s always being asked to star in shampoo commercials but, as proud as she is of her flowing locks, she’s much too busy chewing the cud and ruminating with friends to take time out to be a supermodel.

Detailed, written pattern, with lots of complimentary photos to help you along the way.

When made with light worsted weight (DK/8 ply) yarn and a 3 mm hook Hilda measures approximately 7” (18 cm) tall.

Recommended safety eye size 9 mm.

This pattern is written in American crochet terminology and includes a handy stitch conversion chart so you can translate to British crochet terms instead should you wish to.

Stitches used: slip stitch, single crochet, (invisible) decrease, back loops only, starting an oval piece with a foundation chain, loop stitch
Measurement: 7” (18 cm) tall
