Mini Christmas Stockings

$ 2.50

US English pattern by Janine Holmes at Moji-Moji Design. Includes step-by-step pictures.

These dinky little stockings are approximately 5″ (13 cm) long – the perfect size for pixies, elves and fairies to hang by the fireplace on Christmas Eve.

If you happen to be a human then they might be a bit small for that but you can employ them for a multitude of other uses instead.

They'd make fabulous tree decorations, mini gift bags, party favors, festive dinner table cutlery holders or, if you are feeling very industrious, how about making a set of 24 for an advent calendar? String them up, number them and stuff with tasty treats and and tiny toys to really build that Christmas excitement!

When made with Light Worsted Weight (DK/8 ply) yarn and a 2.5 mm hook each stocking measures approximately 5” (13 cm) long.

It's very easy to vary your hook size and yarn thickness to make them bigger or smaller according to your preference.

This pattern is written in American crochet terminology and includes a handy stitch conversion chart so you can translate to British crochet terms instead should you wish to.

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, back loops only
Measurement: 5" (13 cm) long
