Say hello to Gwen, she loves to dress up in her welsh traditional costume. She just loves all things Wales, and especially loves the national flower, the daffodil! Gwen is an amigurumi doll wearing a petticoat, gown, boots, apron, shawl, cap and hat. The outfit is similar to other historical costumes and could be adapted to make various other historical outfits.

The body of this pattern is worked as one piece from the toes to the shoulders, so no need for too much tedious hand sewing!

This pattern is written with US crochet notation and is an intermediate pattern, some crochet knowledge of basic stitches is required. Using the materials suggested this doll measures 30cm (12 inches). Any yarn can be used with this pattern with an appropriate size crochet hook to create a tight tension, although other yarns may affect the size of the finished doll. Suggested materials: DK (8ply) 100% cotton yarn, 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing, 9mm saftey eyes, 3 small buttons and black embroidery thread for sewing on the face.
