This crochet pattern is based on the bird Claire, who is the protagonist of the game A Short Hike, which was designed and developed by Adam Robinson-Yu (also known as adamgryu). Also, I obtained permission from him to publish and sell this pattern.

= About this Pattern =

The PDF pattern includes detailed instructions on everything you need to know to crochet Claire. It can be followed step-by-step and is accompanied by photos for all the trickier parts.

Next to the written pattern, the PDF includes a list of all needed materials & tools, a table of all stitch types/abbreviations required for this pattern, and also a tutorial section with detailed explanations for some of the more unusual used stitches and techniques. The exact yarn colors & skein amounts I used are also included in the pattern.

= About the finished Claire =

With the hook size (3mm) and yarn type (aran weight) I’m using, the final Claire doll is around 23cm (9in) tall (standing) and 10cm (4in) wide (at the head, which is the widest part). Her wingspan is around 25cm (9.8in).

Claire can’t stand on her own without any additional support (in all pictures where she’s shown standing, I’ve used a small wooden stick to keep her upright). Sitting is no problem!

Claire’s clothes are made of two parts (dress & scarf/cape) that can be taken on and off separately. Maybe you want to create her clothing in different colors - I also made her a blue version!
