Whale Shark Balloon & Cpt. Froggie

$ 8.00

US English pattern by schrahki. Includes step-by-step pictures.

Whale sharks are gentle giants that roam the oceans. Usually, some smaller fish are tagging along and enjoy the free ride. This friendly whale shark is roaming the sky and also taking along passengers in its basket. The most famous passenger is Captain Froggie!

= About this Pattern =

The PDF pattern contains detailed instructions on everything you need to know to crochet the Whale Shark Balloon and the passenger Captain Froggie. It can be followed step-by-step and is accompanied by photos for all the trickier parts.

Next to the written pattern, the PDF includes a list of all needed materials & tools, a table of all stitch types/abbreviations required for this pattern, and also a tutorial section with detailed explanations for some of the more unusual used stitches and techniques.

= About the finished Balloon =

With the hook size and yarn type I’m using, the final Whale Shark Balloon (from top to basket at the bottom) is around 35cm (14in) tall, and around 20cm (8in) wide (measured at the biggest part of the balloon envelope). Captain Froggie is very small: roughly 6cm (2.5in) tall and 4.5cm (18in) wide.
