Ballerina Mouse
by: lilleliis

I made Ballerina mouse for my daughter, Linda, when she was about two years old. Even back then, she was showing a passion for the color pink and all things girly. My wish was to make a truly pink toy, which would put an even bigger sparkle in her eyes. Over time, the initial mouse - with her flounced skirt and ballet shoes - received a puffy-sleeved leotard and a bow to finish off her look. I have always thought that the big ears of a tiny mouse are made for listening to the most hushhush dreams of little girls. The fact that Linda has cherished her ballerina for years, nominated it her favorite, carried it with her, and had it as her bedtime cuddle-mouse is definitely proof of that.
