I haven't made him yet, but I think the chain will be the centre of the back leading down to the tail section.
Row 24 you work along the chain, around the main body then back up the other side of the chain.
Increase (2) + 8 + 41 + 8 + Increase (2) = 61 stitches.

I'm confused as well. Can anyone post a picture or video on how it should look? After I completed 24 mine looks like a cap with a chin strap on it. This doesn't look right. I've only ever done three Woobles kits, so this is something I've not seen yet. Thanks.

It looks right! When you work around the entire piece in the next few rounds, you'll see the body take shape :). It's a different technique, but believe me, the end result is worth it!
