Hi Nell, designer Pica Pau rarely gives exact sewing instructions, as she believes it's up to the individual crocheter to play around with positioning of the pieces :). You can pin them on first and see if your bird can sit balanced (or if it's otherwise a good position) and then sew them on. Enjoy crocheting!
