I'm stuck on Rnd 17 of the baby duck. I don't understand what I am supposed to do with the chain stitch? I don't see it in the picture and obviously I did it wrong. I'll attach a picture so you can get a chuckle out of it. Lol
let me know if you figure it out - im on round 17 as well and tried to "create" a spine? for the duck but i got to round 18 and it was looking like a normal rectangle and the stitches were not adding up. i am not trusting the process haha

so after an hour of consideration and trial and error, i believe after you do the 12 ch and the 11 sc on to that, you just end the round and the next round (18) goes into the next stitch from the neck. please correct me if im wrong, but i think it literally just acts as an extension to the normal round and then it just keeps going around.
however, i think my eyes might be on the wrong side. the book wasnt exactly clear, but if the extension from round 18ish is on the same side as the eyes its probably wrong, right?

Hi Mikal, you're right that the 12 ch are an extension of the normal round and that you keep going around it. The eyes should be positioned on the other side though :). I hope everything works out, enjoy crocheting!
