No where does it show an inc st so I'm very confused. 

I made all the other pieces to this and I absolutely love this pattern!!! It's so adorable

When making 3 sc in the next st, you actually make 3 sc in one stitch, so these bold bits count as your increases. I hope this helps you out, enjoy crocheting!
