Hi... I have the book in German language and I think there is a mistake. For the second round of the Topper petal I have to do:

11 x Single crochet

2 x Half double crochet

2 x 3 Half double crochet

2 x Half double crochet

11 x Single crochet 

I can't find the answer why I start with 28 stitches and end up with 32 and wth are there two times three half double crochet...?! Something is not right here.

Could anyone help on this pls?

You've probably figured it out already, but in case not: the "2x3 hdc" means you put 3 hdc in each of the next 2 stitches. So you triple them. It should be the the second and third sc where you 'turned around' at the end of the beginning chain. This will give you enough stitches to turn around, and will form the round tip of the petal.
