Ear Instructions in Pattern

Dear all, I have the Book in German and until Round 6 (20)  I know what to do but then it says to work through the plyers and it is only 10 for the last round. But what happened in between?

Hi, when you reach the end of round 6, you fold the ear closed and work the closing round through both layers. Since you have 20 stitches at the end of round 6, this means you end of with 10 stitches at the end of the closing round. I hope this helps you out!
