Gertrude first back leg

First time ever working a Pica Pau pattern after my wife gifted me the Animal Friends of Pica Pau book.

I've finished the head and the body pre-legs.  As I'm beginning the first rear leg, my question is: the marked stitch that I slip stitch my "leg chain" to...is it essentially the 3rd stitch of the round I am currently working?  Or is it the stitch from the previous round that I start the first of the 10 sc into, before the chain of 8?

I guess to put it simply, am I slip stitching into the first of the 10 sc before the chain of 8, or am I slip stitching into the stitch that the first of the 10 sc is made into?

Hi, you make a slst in the first sc of the sequence of 10 sc you make before the ch 8, this is the marked st. Working in the stitch below would create a bump, so I wouldn't recommend it.

Happy to hear you're working on your first Pica Pau pattern, Gertrude Dragon is an absolute stunner! Let me know if you have any more questions, I'm happy to help. ❤️
