I'm having a real issue understanding the pattern on this part. It doesn't seem to match the pictures. I just can't seem to get my head around where to make the stitches on round 9. My stitch marker is inside as that's where the back loop stitch was in round 3 but the picture seems to show it on the outside... I'm so confused. Help!!

Hi Myfanw,

That's indeed a difficult part. I'll rewrite it slightly for you, as I think this will be helpful:

Rnd 3: FLO sc in next 3 st. Insert your hook in the front loop of the 10th stitch, then insert your hook in the front loop of the 4th stitch and crochet these two edges together. FLO sc in next 5 st, FLO sc in the 10th stitch again, put a stitch marker in the remaining back loop of this st, FLO sc in next 2 st [12] (pictures 2-4)

What's important is that you insert your hook in the 10th stitch first, then the 4th stitch. This way your wrong side will remain outward and your back loops too.

I hope this helps! We'll correct it in a next print run so other crocheters don't get confused.

I also had difficulties. In the end I didn't crochet the 4th and 10th stitch together and also put a stitch marker in each back loop. After I finished the piece I then sewed the 4th and 10th stitch together. Much easier!
