Hi! You're right that we didn't include the instructions to sew on the head, we've made a note of it. As it happens, you can choose to sew the hair to the head or to simply put it on ... and later change it with another character's hair if you're planning to make more than one :). All of the hair pieces and hats are interchangeable, so that can make for some cute combinations. I hope this helps you out, enjoy crocheting!
