You're referring to this round (in English):
Rnd 9: sc in next st, dec, sc in next st, (hdc dec, sc in next st) repeat 6 times, (dec, sc in next 3 st) repeat
3 times, dec, sc in next st [29]


I believe what might be confusing you is the hdc dec? This is a "half double crochet decrease". This means your decrease is slightly taller than a single crochet decrease (which is explained at the front of the book). The only difference being that you bring your yarn over the hook from back to front before placing the hook in each of the two stitches.
