  10. The 3D cards are so cool and creative, and right on time for Ventine's day. I have not had time to crochet in a while, but that mouse pattern looks like something to get me back into it! Thank you.

  14. Is this worked in the round or are you supposed to turn the work after each round?

  15. What size hook are you using, it says size 10 here, but that is a pretty big hook for these tiny mice....do you mean 1.0?

    1. I used size 10 Boye hook which is 1.30 mm. Maybe your hook is a different brand and that's why it's larger. I have noticed that different brands don't have the same sizing.

  19. Adorable mice! I came across your pattern as I am searching for patterns to knit or crochet for the cats in our local animal shelter. I wonder if these are too small? Do you think using a worsted weight yarn wouldmake them a bit larger? ANyway, thanks for sharing these adorable little mice.

    1. Hi!
I should have put the description of the abbreviations here but I guess I forgot. I will update my post but here they are for you:

      rnd - round
      mr - magic ring
      sc - single crochet
      sc2tog - single crochet 2 together (decrease)
      ch - chain
      hdc - half double crochet

I hope this helps. :-) Let me know if you have more questions.

  23. I think I am missing something. I am new to crocheting, but I have had a successful first attempt with this. However I am missing out on how to stuff them....

    1. And sewing the ears on?? Lol

    2. You're right. I forgot to add the part on how to stuff, etc. I stuff after rnd 17. You will sew the ears 3 rnds above the eyes, 4-5 sts apart. After you sew the ears. pull the ends through the mr hole. You will use those ends to braid the tail later.

  24. Hello Diana.
This mouse are really adorable. In Denmark we have a group on Facebook, in which people are crocheting mice to an emergency room. The mice are given to comfort the children who come to the ER. I think that your mouse is really sweet, so I will like to ask you, if I can translate this pattern into Danish and share it with in the group?
Looking foreward to hear from you.
    Love Tina

    3. Hi again, Diana
Your lovely mouse have become very popular in Denmark. A lot of people make them for kids at hospitals. The kids love them.
Now someone asked me, if it will be allright with you, if one of Denmarks most popular magazines may print the pattern in danish?
Lots of love from me and a lot of crocheting people in Denmark

    4. Hi Tina! Yes, that's fine as long as they give me credit for the design. And when the pattern is in the magazine, is there a way for me to purchase a copy? I'd love to have a copy. :-)

    7. Hi Tina!

How have you been? I was wondering if the issue with the pattern has been published yet. Also, did you get my address? I never know if the emails get through or not. :-)

      Have a wonderful week!

  25. Cute mice. I'm stuffing some catnip in when i put in the stuffing. Using them as presents for people with cats

  26. Started one of these in DK weight wool for my cats--it was more the size of a rat...lol. So, going to get the #10 crochet thread instead. I think they'll appreciate the smaller size much more.

Wonderful pattern, though. I may make a bunch to donate to the local animal shelter for the cats there to have something to play with, as well.

  30. Hi. I thought you'd like to know. I made one of these for my daughter as she is doing her A levels and getting really stressed. She said it was like a fun mouse to chase away her stress elephants. (Like cartoon mice scare cartoon elephants)
She loved it so much that she asked me to make more for her to hide around school with encouraging messages attached for people to find & give them something to smile about during exam season.
So your little mice are making kids smile in a school in Manchester, England. Thank you.
