Born Francisco Miguel Armando Armadillo, he prefers to simply be called Armando, although most (apart from his grandmother) call him \"Paco\". Armando\'s family works in carpentry, so when he was
little, he spent hours in the workshop, searching for wood scraps on which to carve drawings with his sharp fingernails. When his grandmother discovered these drawings, she told Armando that his
great-great-grandmother\'s side of the family practiced the craft of woodcut. Obviously, Armando never stopped carving and he has become a master printmaker. He just hasn\'t decided on his signature yet (because he doesn\'t want to offend his abuelita).
