Loaf Cat

$ 5.50

US English pattern by Cara Engwerda. Includes step-by-step pictures.

A "loaf cat" refers to the way cats sit with their paws and tail tucked beneath their body, resembling a loaf of bread. My kids were thrilled when they saw I'd designed a cat like this, it sits perfectly!

Loaf Cat is an easy amigurumi (crochet) pattern written in English using US (American) terminology. The pattern includes detailed instructions in an easy to follow layout but a knowledge of basic crochet stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi is essential.

Your tension, yarn thickness and hook size used will affect the size of your finished item. You can simply use any yarn, make it as big and squishy as you like! My Loaf Cat is approx. 11cm tall.

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, back loops only, invisibly decrease 3 stitches at once
Measurement: 11cm (4 1/2 inches)
