Charlie the Squirrel

$ 6.99

US English pattern by CuteVilleToys. Includes step-by-step pictures.

Charlie is a chunky little squirrel with a big fluffy loop-stitch tail and his own tiny mushroom to hug. Worked in soft chenille yarn, he turns out irresistibly squishy, and his arms are crocheted right into the body, so there's less sewing.

Difficulty: ★★★☆☆ Intermediate. Amigurumi experience recommended. Crochet lessons not included.

Pattern includes: 14 pages, 60+ photos, 4 "How To" videos (loop stitch, loop stitch with a regular decrease, starting the tail, shaping the cheeks), step-by-step instructions in English (US terms).

Materials: Premier Parfait Chunky yarn (a little over 100 g; the tail uses about 45 g), 5 mm hook, 16 mm safety eyes (or embroidered eyes), black and dark brown yarn for the nose and eyelashes, stuffing, needle, stitch markers.

Assembly: the arms are crocheted into the body. The legs, ears, tail and mushroom are sewn on.

Measurement: About 20 cm (7.9 in) tall without the ears, 24 cm (9.4 in) with the ears, using a 5 mm hook and Premier Parfait Chunky
