Aren't you tired of all those fake crochet jobs devised by AI? This little pumpkin makes fun of them all, because it looks like it was made by AI but I only used the salt from my pumpkin! 'Having the salt in pumpkin' is a typical Italian expression for 'being smart'. Maybe I am not that smart, but I certainly used all my imagination and a lot of technique to make this lantern.

The main ingredient of this pattern is patience. Each piece must be prepared very calmly and one must be able to wait between each step. Otherwise, the crochet is quite simple and I had a lot of fun making the lantern. Ah, yes, you must engraving the pumpkin!

You can use it as a Halloween decoration, adding some lights inside (not real candles!!!), but also as a small box.

Additional material for shaping and carving the pumpkin:
- a chiser art blade precision knife 4mm/0.15” or similar
- a little piece of wood
- a small hammer
- a paintbrush n.14 or similar
- a little round stick (like the handle of a paintbrush)
- at least 100ml of tacky glue
- medium metal wire
- pliers
- a loooooooot of patience!

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, half double crochet, double crochet, back loops only, triple crochet
Measurement: 9x9x12 cm - 3.5x3.5x4.7 in
