What better to crochet for Easter than a lovely hen with her cute little chick?

This pattern includes instructions to crochet both the momma hen and her chick!

The pattern is written in English with US terminology. You’ll find step-by-step instructions with pictures to guide you through it.

Skill level: intermediate

Momma hen is about 14 cm (5.5”) tall when made with the indicated yarn. To make her you will need:
- 2.5 mm (B-1/C-2) crochet hook
- cotton yarn in white, light brown, yellow and red, all from the same brand
- pair of 6 mm safety eyes (for children under 3 years of age I recommend embroidered eyes!)
- fiber fill
- yarn needle
- stitch markers
- pins
- scissors

The chick is about 5.5 cm (5.2”) tall when made with the indicated yarn. To make her you will need:
- 2,5 mm (B-1/C-2) crochet hook
- cotton yarn in yellow, white and (left over) red
- pair of 6 mm safety eyes (for children under 3 years of age I recommend embroidered eyes!)
- fiber fill
- yarn needle
- stitch markers
- scissors
