Earl Grey the Cloud Maker- 19 Page PDF

He is and will always be the maker of all those funny clouds you pick out of the sky. When you see a dog, you know Earl Grey made him so, a clown, a car... there is nothing he can not make. We have balloon makers, but they have nothing on him. He has everything he needs to make the perfect cloud in his back pack all fluffy and white.

A true Shepard of the sky and a tribute to my Grandfather.


This PDF includes the written instructions in US terms and step-by-step photos detailing how to make the pieces to finish your creation. When made with DK weight yarn (sample made in Stylecraft Special DK) and a 2.0mm hook, the finished Earl will measure around 20cm/8" tall.

The project can be made using any weighted yarn, just adjust the hook size to match your choice.

You'll need to know how to:

• make a Magic Ring or a chain 2 equivalent
• work in a round
• single crochet
• increase/decrease
• half double crochet
• front/back loop only
• slip stitch
• bobble stitch (photo tutorial is included)

You will need the following materials:

Yarn: Stylecraft Special Dk - Acrylic - 100g/295m/323 yards
1 ball of each colour (you won't need full balls): White 1001, Graphite 1063, A Hint of Silver (1087) Less than 40g in: Poppy 2170, Jaffa 1853, Dandelion 1020, Grass Green 1826, Turquoise 1068, Lobelia 1825, Magenta 1084
We also used Womens Institute in Honey.
2.0mm crochet hook
10mm black safety eyes
Soft stuffing/ Fibrefill
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle
Dressmakers pins
Scissors
