See past those large glowing bug like eyes, you are for sure going to never regret it. Soba is a protector against the myth and nothing but the most sensitive of souls. A cyrptid friend filled with both fear and fascination.


This PDF includes the written instructions in US terms and step-by-step photos detailing how to make the pieces to finish your creation. When made with DK weight yarn (sample made in Stylecraft Special DK) and a 2.0mm hook, the finished friend will measure around 24cm/8.5" tall.

The project can be made using any weighted yarn, just adjust the hook size to match your choice.

You'll need to know how to:

• make a Magic Ring or a chain 2 equivalent
• work in a round
• single crochet
• increase/decrease
• half double crochet
• front/back loop only
• slip stitch


You will need the following materials:

Yarn: Stylecraft Special Dk - Acrylic - 100g/295m/323 yards
1 ball of each colour (you won't need full balls): White 1001, Black 1002. Accent less than 20g Poppy 2170 or Blue Sky 2186.
2.0mm crochet hook
12mm black safety eyes or 14/16mm sinker eyes
Soft stuffing/ Fibrefill
Stitch markers x3
Tapestry needle
Dressmakers pins
Scissors
