US English pattern by Neith Sand Crochet. Includes step-by-step pictures.
This crochet pattern contains easy instructions along with lots of pictures on how to make your own Fuwa the Cat amigurumi.
It also contains the necessary modifications to make the two other versions of the cat you can see on the pictures. Three patterns in one!
This pattern is made for those who knows basics of amigurumi crochet and is written in American terms.
Fuwa the cat can be made with safety eyes or crocheted eyes. If you want to make crocheted eyes, you'll need 2 hook sizes (and 2 different cottons), one for the cat and one for the eyes. The crocheted eyes are painted with acrylic paint. You can alternatively embroider them.
Materials you will need:
- Cotton in two colors
- Hook adapted to the chosen cotton. (I use a 2.5 mm)
- Mercerized cotton if you're making the crocheted eyes
- Hook adapted to mercerized cotton (I use a 1.25 mm)
- Stuffing.
- Yarn needle.
- Safety eyes (10 mm).
- Scissors.
- Sewing pins.
- Acrylic paint (for the eyes)
Size:
Made with a 2.5 mm hook, Fuwa the Cat measures approximately 14cm tall by 5cm wide and 7cm long (without the tail).
