The Australian bushfire devastation of 2019-2020 killed our loved ones, flattened our homes and destroyed more than 1 billion of our precious wildlife.

I crocheted this little joey after seeing the graphic images of our poor animals being burnt alive by the blaze. It was a cathartic exercise. But now, I decided to write this pattern in order to raise money for the amazing organisations determined to save our bush baby survivors.

DONATIONS:

Until January 31st 2020, 100% of the proceeds from this pattern were donated to WIRES, the not-for-profit organisation which provides care and actively rehabilitates and preserves Australian wildlife. You can donate directly via their website.

From February 1st 2020 (and ongoing), $2 from every pattern sold will be donated to WIRES.

ABOUT THE PATTERN:

This crochet pattern features both a Joey and his rescue pouch. The pattern is in PDF format and 10 pages long. It includes detailed instructions and lots of colour photos to help you along the way.

Available in English Only. The Pattern is written in US Crochet Terminology.

DIMENSIONS:

This little Joey measures approx 18cm long and 12cm tall. However, this may vary depending on your yarn, hook and/or tension.

MATERIALS:

- Scheepjes Stonewashed Yarn
- 2.75mm and 3.5mm Crochet Hook
- 7.5mm safety eyes
- Polyfiber Fill for the stuffing
- Tapestry Needle
- Scissors
- A stitch marker

Intermediate.
