This crochet pattern includes 54 pages of detailed, easy-to-follow instructions for creating a crochet bear with all his accessories: suitcase, pillow, blanket, outfit (pajamas and dungarees), little bear and his cart. The PDF features clear written directions accompanied by numerous step-by-step photos, helpful notes, and tips throughout to guide you every step of the way.
It’s a standard, printable PDF file, available in ENGLISH language (US terms).
Materials and tools you need:
- Crochet hooks: 2.0 mm and 5.0 mm
- Yarns:
Scheepjes Catona: 100% mercerized cotton; 50 g = 125 m (1.76 oz = 136 yards) – for the bear, his outfits, pillow, blanket, little cart and suitcase straps.
YarnArt Baby Cotton: 50% cotton, 50% acrylic; 50 g = 165 m (1.76 oz = 180 yards – for the little bear.
Braided Cotton Cord 3 mm with core, 100% cotton – for the suitcase.
- 5 mm black safety eyes
- 6 medium size buttons (I’ve used 18 mm) – 4 x for the cart’s wheels and 2 x for the suitcase
- Plastic canva (7 ct or stiffer) – to stiffen the suitcase
- Soft stuffing (like fiberfill etc.)
- Hot glue gun - to assemble the suitcase
- Strong thread (e.g. dental floss) – to create bear’s eyes
- Craft wire – for bear’s arms and suitcase handles
- Stitch marker
- Tapestry needle
- Pins
- Scissors
By following the instructions and using the recommended materials, you'll create a suitcase measuring: 16 cm (6.3 inch) in length, 24 cm (9.4 inch) in width and 10 cm (4 inch) in depth. The bear measures approximately 15 cm (6 inch).
