Cowardly Lion is one of the characters from the Wizard of Oz.

He's about 18 cm tall stuffie. Most pieces are worked in rounds and it requires little sewing.

It includes a PDF file. It's written in English (US terms). The pattern contains step-by-step instructions and photos.

You will work single crochet to make him, but for his nose you'll work Tunisian crochet. You need to know **Tunisian Knit Stitch (TKS)** and **decrease in TKS**. There are many video tutorials about it on YouTube.

This project contains both Cowardly Lion and courage medal patterns. You can make just the lion, or you can make a medal on his chest. Or maybe you can make the medal for yourself too.

For the lion, you need beige, brown, white and black yarn.
For the medal, you need dark grey, dark blue, yellow, red and white yarn. Also you may use a smaller size of hook. I used 2.5mm.

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, half double crochet, back loops only, invisibly decrease 3 stitches at once
