The "Lil' Ladies" collection is designed to celebrate the female body. All female bodies. I wanted to represent, in just a few stitches, as many body shapes as possible. The one who feels "too" round, "too" tall, "too" small. The one who thinks she has "too" big a belly, "too" broad shoulders, "too" large a chest, "too" big a behind... Because "too" is too much. And it's time that changed.
I am the mother of a little girl and a little boy. And I don't want to let them grow up with the idea that a woman needs to look a certain way to be beautiful. I want to pass on to them that true beauty lives in diversity.

► Fingering weight cotton yarn. I used Scheepjes Catona. The pattern includes a list of Scheepjes Catona shades for different skin tones.
► An appropriate hook for your yarn (2.25 mm, size B, with Scheepjes Catona)
► A tapestry needle

► Polyfill stuffing
► Embroidery thread and needle. I used DMC Pearl Cotton black 310 n°5

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, half double crochet, double crochet, back loops only, front loops only, double crochet decrease, spike stitch, crochet into a ring, fastening off in the invisible way, Crochet into a ring
