After a terrible bushfire season in Australia that reduced the koala population significantly, Kiki the koala welcomes a newborn joey bringing hope and joy back to the local community. Dressed in native flowers and leaves, Kiki is a glowing new mother, celebrating new life and her new love.

To make your own koala, you will need:
Yarn in the colours: light grey, dark brown, yellow, light green, light orange, light pink, as well as fluffy chenille yarn in white
2.25mm crochet hook or hook size relevant for the yarn you choose
8mm safety eyes
Embroidery thread (black)
Toy Stuffing
Other tools: scissors, pins, stitch marker, yarn needle

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, half double crochet, double crochet, back loops only, front loops only, triple crochet, fastening off in the invisible way
Measurement: Kiki measures 16 cm / 6.5" Baby Joey measures 7 cm / 3"
