The season for gift-giving is fast approaching with its cold days that make us want to slow down and get cozy. So why not do both with Noël the Sloth? Noël is an adorable sloth, all bundled up with his Christmas hat and scarf, who comes bearing gifts! Noël’s gift box is the perfect storage for that special small present you want to gift or to keep all your precious craft notions safe.

The pattern is written in U.S. terminology. The main part of this project is worked in rounds so you might want to use a stitch marker to mark the end of each round. There is no specific gauge for this project, just try to keep it tight and even throughout each piece. Noël the Sloth approx. 18cm (7in), when using the same yarn/tools as indicated below and working with the “x” single crochet technique (yarn under, yarn over).

- Ricorumi DK, 100% cotton yarn, 25g / 57.5m, in Mastic 51 (approx. 48g), Cream 02 (approx. 4g), Light Brown 52 (approx. 3g), Fir Green 50 (approx. 4g), Red 28 (approx. 41g), White 01 (approx. 10g), Saffron 63 (approx. 8g), Black 060 (leftover for embroidery)
- 2.5mm crochet hook
- Toy stuffing
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- Stitch markers
- Small pompom maker

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, half double crochet, double crochet, back loops only, front loops only, invisibly decrease 3 stitches at once
