A great sybarite, Lola was born in the mountains of Qinling, China, but has lived in San Francisco since she was five. Unlike most of her relatives, whose diet is 99 % based on bamboo, Lola only eats this plant if it's niely stir-fried with onions, peas, crispy bacon and mushrooms.
