US English pattern by Little Green Bear. Includes step-by-step pictures.
Don the diplodocus spends all day grazing on the soft foliage from the tops of trees and stripping the bark further down. This wears his teeth out pretty quickly but it’s ok, they just keep growing back.
The 9 page pattern is intermediate skill level and uses US terminology. It is clear to follow with detailed instructions and lots of pictures for step by step making and assembly. There are also picture instructions for colour change, back loop only and invisible finish.
Recommended Materials:
- Yarn: I have made Don using Paintbox Yarns Wool Mix Aran (Aran/worsted weight yarn) - yarn amounts and colour details in pattern
- Hook: 4mm (G) crochet hook
- Stuffing: I use polyester filling
- Safety eyes: I have used 9mm plastic safety eyes, but you can embroider the eyes on if you prefer
- Yarn needle
- Pins
- (A stitch marker and row counter are useful)
Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, (invisible) decrease, half double crochet, back loops only
Measurement: He is 17 inches long and 6 inches tall (if using same yarn/hook as me).
